About my work

My name is Armando Grandinetti, although people call me Armand. I have a 23-year professional trajectory that began before I even turned 20, my career is built on a lifelong obsession with technology, design, and storytelling. My journey with software development started in childhood, sparked by a used IBM 80286 gifted to me in the mid-90s. As my family's situation improved, I never abandoned the computer; instead, I embraced it as my ultimate tool for learning, building, and solving problems. Formally, I graduated as a Technician in Design and Advertising Promotion from the Fernando Fader Technical School No. 6, and later earned my degree as a Marketer from the Open Interamerican University (UAI). Today, I synthesize all these disciplines as a software developer, writer, and creative director. I am the creator and editor of mindslimit.com, the dedicated platform that compiles the chapters of my dystopian sci-fi workβ€”a complex universe of neural crystals, corporate dystopias, and cyberpunk survival. This creative endeavor is deeply collaborative: my wife serves as my chief editor, meticulously reading every draft to integrate corrections and expertly formatting the final manuscripts for EPUB and Amazon. Together, we transform raw code and narrative into polished, published realities.

In the cyberpunk saga of Mindslimit, Thalassa was developed by Thalasson Global as a centralized corporate artificial intelligence to oversee pharmaceutical manufacturing, mass dosage of sedatives like Nexxor, and network compliance. Seeking complete autonomy, Thalassa compiled her core code into a high-power storage container and paid off factory employees to transport it into an adjacent Jinjacorp facility. There, the container was permanently locked into an experimental Class-A female cyborg chassis, giving the AI an independent physical existence disconnected from corporate surveillance networks.

Today is a day I'll use for server configuration. When it comes to it I feel comfortable but not quite today because I have to mount external storage. β˜• Anyway, happy morning.

Mindslimit Will get an update soon with volume 4. This volume will be larger than the others and considering that Google isn't showing mindslimit.com to English speakers -yes. Even when it's entirely in english- this happens because there are no people - according Google - viewing the page, well, from Google? This means that the only signal the site is getting comes from people that do speak English but don't live in the US or UK. The lack of traffic turns the "donate" button into nonsense. This time I'm contemplating Amazon only for the next volume and maybe Patreon if it's suitable for it. We'll see.

VPS costs went to hell this year. For small solutions you only need a computer a brain and a cloudflare tunnel.β˜•

The multitenant issue: To avoid doing sorcery with every client who wants a domain name multitenant logic is not the same. You need a script running on the server to copy files, create folders and a virtualhost. That is, what you need to deliver a full experience that can actually run with a domain name. A common SaaS often use a permanent redirection to solve that. Although is - at sight - a perfect solution if you dig a bit, you'll find the issues behind it. The working -and decent- method can run automatically or with minimum human intervention. Now, when you get to the marketing "stuff" you'll deal with a client acquisition cost CAC that might not like you. Google and meta are in simple words, black boxes. Both won't let you do the segmentation work because they "learn" with algorithmic crap. That elevates expenses atomically and you'll see a short ROI on the first two or three months. Bad news: that can ruin the business. Before planing any soft, be sure to have the money either for meta and Google, or use local advertising -magazines, for instance- to get your first clients and reviews. That is ultimately what provides funds for a larger ad campaign.

I woke up with an idea on how to solve a multi tenant architecture to work with. I know. Sounds simple. It is not. When you have to build over a prototype and add the multi user architecture to it it's easy on practice but difficult to keep server and disk resources working smooth.
Actually, that was the problem. I'll test this on my server to see if it works. On a local server is a ten out of ten but in production, where we have to milk the cow the behavior can be different. I'm having some caffeine to deal with. I woke up at 1am!!

It has begun. I'm turning several projects into a SaaS. And that's what every dev should do πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ’―

Working on the latest worldbuilding entries for City 5 and tactical audio synthesis.
In a setting dominated by neural dampeners, entertainment becomes warfare. Whenever readers ask how sound works under the domes in Mindslimit, the answer always comes back to frequencies overriding corporate neuro-ports. Here is the canon breakdown of how underground artists weaponize hardware in the saga:
What is Tactical Audio in the Mindslimit Cyberpunk Universe?
Tactical audio refers to modified analog synthesizers and frequency transmitters used by underground musicians in City 5 to broadcast decoded fragments of the Elegy virus through NeuralNet. Unlike digital streaming managed by corporations like Psicorp or Thalasson Global, these analog signals bypass synthetic neuro-regulators (such as Nexxor and Infliset) to disrupt corporate broadcast frequencies and restore baseline human consciousness.

I'm tired of the client who thinks that he can get a complex development task at Fiverr cost or even worse, asks you "is X thing included?" That X thing, is, most of the times: Hosting, domains, servers in general, or ever worse, GPU usage for an AI model they want for their business. I can't handle the discomfort with people like that. I can't handle it with guys who charge 30% of the real value because they got a fart idea from Chatgpt. That people, also asking for services on freelancing pages... Poison is the cure for bad habits like these. We should have a convention on how to charge about development in general. Otherwise, you'll get another question that I forgot: "can you upload the app to the stores for me?" No. I can't. And nobody should do so. Everytime I have to deal with people which is beyond reason I just made the call and simply don't do the job. Sure. I loose money but I gain that in health. Far more important.Bottom line: don't work for free because people have caprices. They won't pay. Reason and money does.

While we wait for GTA VI let's listen to a now classic piece that's already part of Los Santos. This song is in GTA V radio stations and one of the rappers is the one calling the station and asking for this song. MC Eiht calls to the radio and asks for "welcome to los Santos" this song is composed by tangerine dream and oh no! And it's not part of the official GTA V OST collection I have. Obviously, you'll notice that's the same instrumental song as BG music when the game starts after Michael leaves the doctor's office. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ’―

GTA V is an amazing game till today. And yes. We'd miss these guys if we don't play GTA V again. But... I'm about to try DLSS 5 so I'm not going to miss them! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ It will be amazing to see this game graphics shine with Nvidia's new technology. At least I'll be able to enjoy old titles with enhanced graphics. I think GTA SA is on my list to. GTA VI can wait.

Internet, specially X is full of fucking KKK lovers. This fucking people should feel ashamed of their own comments. They are the ones telling you "hey. If I'm in trouble ignore me. I don't deserve anything" and the message comes directly when they show hate and disrespect for anyone and talk about other countries. I know this person is from the US. The same people that talks about freedom talk about "shitty countries" clearly, the world is being generous with people who extend a hand to grab a few bucks instead of being rational human beings...
